Healthcare Marketing Conferences and Summits in India, 2026-27
Reviewed on by Gaurav Phogat. Every event, organiser, city and date below was checked against the organiser’s own website on that day. This page is reviewed every quarter.
The healthcare marketing conferences worth your time in 2026-27 are the ones that match a job you need done: learning a skill, meeting the people who decide budgets, or being seen by peers. In India that means FICCI HEAL, the NATHEALTH summit, the AHPI Global Conclave, Advantage Healthcare India, the CII Digital Health Summit, the e4m Health & Wellness Marketing awards and conference, and Digital Health News city meetups. Globally, HLTH, HIMSS, Cannes Lions, SHSMD Connections and HCIC are the five I would shortlist. Below: who each suits, dates where announced, how I get value from a conference, and how to pitch a talk that gets accepted.
This article is part of the leadership from the CXO seat series, best read in order from the pillar.
I get asked about healthcare marketing conferences more than almost anything else, usually by someone who has just been handed a budget line called “events” and no idea what it should buy. Most lists online are written for American hospital marketers, or they are vendor calendars padded with webinars. This one is written for people doing digital, marketing and growth work in Indian hospitals, diagnostics, health insurance and health-tech, with a short global list for the year you can justify a flight.
Two rules shaped it. First, every event here was verified on the organiser’s own website; anything I could not verify is left out, however often it appears on other lists. Second, there is no ranking. A conference is only useful relative to what you need from it, so I describe who each one suits rather than scoring them.
How I decide which healthcare marketing conferences to attend
Before I look at a single agenda, I write down which of four jobs the trip has to do. If I cannot name one, I do not go. The four jobs need different events, and confusing them is the most common way a conference budget gets wasted.
| Job | What you are buying | Signal the event fits | Measure afterwards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Learn | A skill or a working model you can apply next quarter | Case-study sessions by operators, workshops, named practitioners rather than sponsors | One change shipped within 90 days |
| Meet | Time with people who decide or influence budgets and policy | Hospital, payer and policy leaders on the attendee list, not only vendors | Three follow-up conversations that continue after the event |
| Be seen | Visibility for your team or organisation among peers | Open call for speakers, awards with published criteria, curated panels | A talk or entry you can reuse on your own site |
| Buy | A shortlist of vendors and partners | A focused exhibition in your category, demos with real data | A shortlist with prices and references, not brochures |
Policy and industry-body events in India (FICCI, NATHEALTH, AHPI, CII) are strongest for the meet job: they are where hospital promoters, payers, regulators and investors talk to each other. Marketing-industry events are stronger for be seen and learn. The large global shows are strongest for buy and for seeing where health technology is heading a year or two before it reaches India.

FICCI HEAL
FICCI’s annual health conference marked its twentieth year in 2026 with the theme “HEAL@20: From Vision to Value”, held at FICCI Federation House in New Delhi on 27 and 28 October. It is a policy and industry event, not a marketing one, which is exactly why marketers should go at least once: you hear how promoters, payers and government frame the problems your budget is supposed to solve. I treat it as a meet event and plan my conversations before I arrive. Official page: FICCI HEAL.
NATHEALTH Arogya Bharat Summit
NATHEALTH, the healthcare federation set up in 2012, held its 12th summit at The Lalit, New Delhi, on 24 and 25 March 2026, with themes including universal health coverage, quality, primary care and digital health. The audience mixes providers, insurers, med-tech, health-tech start-ups and investors. For a digital or growth leader it is an efficient room in which to understand where insurers and providers disagree, which is usually where the next marketing problem comes from. Official page: NATHEALTH Summit 2026.
AHPI Global Conclave
The Association of Healthcare Providers (India) runs its Global Conclave early each year; the 2026 edition was at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, on 23 and 24 January, themed “Empowering Hospitals as Pillars of National Wellbeing”. The agenda leans towards hospital management, quality and accreditation. I recommend it to marketers who want to understand how operations leaders think, because that understanding is what gets a booking-flow or contact-centre project funded. Official site: AHPI.
Advantage Healthcare India (AHCI)
Organised by FICCI, AHCI is the event for international patient and medical value travel work. The 8th edition ran at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, from 23 to 25 February 2026. It brings overseas buyers, facilitators and government delegations together with Indian providers. If your role includes international patient marketing, this is where you test whether your country plans match what facilitators actually see. My notes on how international patients search are a useful primer before you go. Official site: Advantage Healthcare India.
CII Digital Health Summit
The Confederation of Indian Industry held the 5th edition of its Digital Health Summit in New Delhi on 31 July 2026; the 4th edition was also in July. It is the India event where digital health policy, AI and health-tech investment are discussed in one room. Go if your remit includes AI assistants, digital front doors or platform partnerships. Official page: CII Digital Health Summit 2026.
e4m Health & Wellness Marketing Conference and Awards
This is the closest India has to a dedicated healthcare marketing conference: exchange4media runs a conference alongside its Health & Wellness Marketing Awards, and the 2025 edition was held in Mumbai in July. The 2026 awards are the seventh edition. Expect pharma, consumer health, insurance and wellness brands with their agencies; hospitals are fewer. Read the category criteria before entering anything, because work that relied on patient testimonials or outcome claims will not sit well with the NMC 2026 rules for hospitals and doctors. Official page: e4m Health & Wellness Marketing Awards 2026.
Digital Health News city meetups and roundtables
Digital Health News runs day-long city meetups and policy roundtables across India: in 2026 they have included Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Guwahati and Jaipur (29 October 2026). They are smaller and regional, which is their value: you meet the CIOs, digital heads and founders of hospitals in a specific state. If you work outside the metros, start here. Calendar: Digital Health News events.
Global healthcare marketing conferences worth the flight
Searches for “healthcare marketing conferences 2027” and “healthcare CMO summit” mostly return American events. Five of them are worth an Indian marketer’s time and money, for different reasons.
| Event | Organiser | City | Dates | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HLTH USA | HLTH | Las Vegas | 15 to 18 November 2026 | Health-tech, payer and provider innovation |
| HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition | HIMSS | Chicago | 5 to 8 April 2027 | Health IT, digital front door, data |
| Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity | Cannes Lions | Cannes | 21 to 25 June 2027 | Creative work; Health & Wellness and Pharma Lions |
| SHSMD Connections | Society for Health Care Strategy & Market Development (American Hospital Association) | Phoenix | 26 to 28 September 2027 | Hospital strategy, marketing and communications |
| HCIC (Healthcare Interactive Conference) | Greystone.Net | Orlando (2026) | 25 to 28 October 2026; usually late October | Hospital digital, web and content teams |
HLTH USA
A large gathering of health-tech founders, investors, payers and provider executives, held in Las Vegas from 15 to 18 November 2026. It is noisy and expensive, and it is the most useful place I know to see which consumer health products are being funded a year before they arrive in India. Treat it as a buy and learn trip and book meetings weeks in advance. Official site: HLTH.
HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition
HIMSS27 runs at McCormick Place, Chicago, from 5 to 8 April 2027. It is a health IT event first, but the sessions on patient engagement, CRM, interoperability and AI are directly relevant to anyone who owns a digital front door. Go with your CIO, not instead of them. Official site: HIMSS27.
Cannes Lions
Cannes Lions 2027 runs from 21 to 25 June in Cannes. The Health & Wellness Lions and Pharma Lions are where ambitious health communication is judged each year, and the winners are worth studying even if you never attend. Much of what wins there would not be permissible for an Indian hospital under the NMC 2026 guidelines, so study the insight and the craft, not the claims. Official site: Cannes Lions.
SHSMD Connections
The American Hospital Association’s Society for Health Care Strategy & Market Development holds Connections every September; the 2026 edition was in Baltimore and the 2027 edition is in Phoenix from 26 to 28 September. Of the global events, it is the closest to the actual job of a hospital marketing and strategy leader: service-line growth, physician relations, brand and communications. Official page: SHSMD Connections.
HCIC
Greystone.Net’s Healthcare Interactive Conference ran at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate from 25 to 28 October 2026, and its call for speakers reopens in January 2027. It is the most practical of the five for website, content, SEO and digital experience teams, with case studies from hospital digital leaders. Official site: HCIC.

How to get the most from a conference
I have come back from conferences with a bag of lanyards and nothing else, and I have come back with the idea that reshaped a year of work. The difference was never the event. It was what I did before, during and after it.
Before: decide the three outcomes
I write three outcomes on one page before I book: one thing to learn, three people to meet, and one decision the trip should inform. If the agenda cannot serve at least two of them, I do not go. Then I read the speaker and attendee lists and send short notes to the people I want to meet, asking for fifteen minutes on a specific question. A specific question gets a yes far more often than “let’s connect”.
During: sessions are the smallest part
- Pick sessions by speaker, not title. An operator describing what failed teaches more than a vendor describing what is possible.
- Take notes as decisions, not quotes. For each useful session I write one line: what I would change on Monday because of it.
- Walk the exhibition with a question. I ask every vendor the same thing (for example, how their tool records consent under DPDP) and compare the answers on the train home.
- Skip the session after lunch. The corridor is where policy people, payers and hospital leaders actually talk.
After: the 72-hour rule
Within three days I send every follow-up I promised, write a one-page note for my team with the three changes I want to test, and put one of them into the next sprint. If nothing from a conference reaches the work within a quarter, it was a holiday, and I say so in my own review. For leaders presenting conference spend to a board, my note on the board pack from digital and growth covers how to show what came of it.
How to pitch a talk
Most calls for speakers receive far more abstracts than there are slots, and most rejected abstracts fail in the same few ways: they promise a product story, they are vague about what the audience will learn, or they rely on results the speaker cannot share. This is the approach I use and recommend.
- Lead with the problem, not your organisation. “Why hospital chatbots deflect instead of book, and the three changes that fixed ours” beats “Our digital transformation journey”.
- Promise three takeaways the audience can use. Programme committees look for sessions that leave people with something to do. State them in the abstract.
- Bring original evidence. A study you ran, a benchmark you built or a before-and-after you can show. I use my own benchmark of 100 hospital websites, the AI hospital recommendations study and the OPD booking flow study because they are anonymised and anyone can check the method.
- Clear what you can share before you pitch. Agree with your employer’s legal and communications teams which numbers, screenshots and names you can use. Ratios and directions of change are often fine where absolute figures are not.
- Keep it inside the rules. If you work for a hospital or are a doctor, a conference slide is still public communication. No patient testimonials, no identifiable patient stories without consent, no superlatives and no outcome promises. My NMC 2026 compliance hub lists what is barred.
- Offer a co-speaker who disagrees. A panel with a CFO, a clinician or an IT head pulling in different directions is more interesting to a programme committee than a solo pitch.
- Never pay to speak. A sponsored slot is advertising. It may be the right purchase for a vendor, but it is not a talk, and the audience knows the difference.
If you want the speaking to build a reputation over time, publish a longer written version of each talk on your own site afterwards. It gives organisers something to judge you on next year and gives AI search engines something to cite, which is the same principle as how hospitals get cited by AI search.
What I would not spend the budget on
- Award entries for categories where the entry fee is the main criterion. Read the jury list and criteria first.
- Events whose agenda is mostly sponsored sessions. Count the speakers from hospitals, payers and policy versus vendors.
- Sending the whole team to one large event. Send one person with a clear brief and ask them to teach the rest.
- Any event that asks you to share patient data, outcomes or case stories you have not cleared.
The time saved is better spent on skills. My list of healthcare marketing courses in India and the 48 free tools and templates on this site are cheaper ways to build capability between conferences. If you are deciding what your team should learn at all, what the hospital CMO role owns now and the healthcare marketing trends for 2026 set out the work that conference learning should serve.
How this page is maintained
I review this page every quarter: in January, April, July and October. Each review rechecks every event on its organiser’s website, adds dates once they are announced, moves past editions to the “usually” window and removes anything that has stopped running. The next review is due in January 2027. If you organise a relevant event in India and it is missing, the test for inclusion is simple: an official page with the organiser, city and dates, and an agenda built for healthcare, digital health or hospital leadership.

Questions people ask
For 2026-27 I would look at FICCI HEAL, the NATHEALTH Arogya Bharat Summit, the AHPI Global Conclave, Advantage Healthcare India, the CII Digital Health Summit, the e4m Health and Wellness Marketing conference and awards, and Digital Health News city meetups. Only the e4m event is built specifically around marketing; the others are industry and policy events where marketers meet the people who set budgets and priorities.
There is no single, established summit only for healthcare CMOs in India that I could verify on an organiser website. The closest options are the e4m Health and Wellness Marketing conference for marketers and agencies, and leadership events such as FICCI HEAL, NATHEALTH and the AHPI Global Conclave, where hospital marketing heads meet promoters, payers and policy makers.
As of 29 October 2026, HIMSS27 (Chicago, 5 to 8 April 2027), Cannes Lions (21 to 25 June 2027) and SHSMD Connections (Phoenix, 26 to 28 September 2027) have announced dates. Indian events usually confirm dates two to four months ahead, so I add them at each quarterly review.
Ask which of four jobs the trip does: learn a skill, meet decision makers, raise visibility, or shortlist vendors. Then ask for three named outcomes and a 90-day check on whether any change reached the work. Fund one person with a clear brief over a group trip, and treat paid speaking slots as advertising.
HIMSS suits a digital head who works closely with the CIO on CRM, data, interoperability and the digital front door. HLTH suits someone scouting consumer health products, partners and investors. If the budget allows only one, choose by the decision you need to make in the next year, not by the size of the event.
The NATHEALTH summit and FICCI HEAL bring providers, insurers, third-party administrators and policy makers into one room. Plan meetings in advance around a specific question, such as cashless experience or package pricing, because those conversations rarely happen by chance in a large hall.
Scientific presentation to professional peers is different from public promotion, but anything that is filmed, posted or shared publicly becomes public communication. Remove identifiers, get documented consent, avoid testimonials, superlatives and outcome promises, and check the session will not be used as promotional content for you or your hospital.
HIMSS and the CII Digital Health Summit are the most useful shared events, because CRM, consent, AI assistants and the digital front door sit between both teams. Going together means you evaluate vendors against the same questions and come back with one plan rather than two.
The e4m Health and Wellness Marketing Awards and conference is the dedicated platform, and Cannes Lions has Health and Wellness and Pharma Lions globally. For hospital clients, check every entry against the NMC 2026 rules first; work built on patient testimonials or outcome claims will create problems for the client even if it wins.
Lead with a problem the audience has, promise three practical takeaways, bring original evidence you are allowed to share, clear numbers and screenshots with your legal team first, stay inside advertising rules, and consider a co-speaker with a different view. Do not pay for a speaking slot and call it a talk.
Advantage Healthcare India, organised by FICCI, is the event built for medical value travel, bringing overseas facilitators, buyers and government delegations together with Indian providers. Its 8th edition was held in Greater Noida in February 2026; the next edition had not been announced when this page was last reviewed.
Yes. Digital Health News runs city meetups and policy roundtables in places such as Kochi, Ahmedabad, Guwahati and Jaipur as well as the metros. They are smaller, regional and good for meeting hospital digital and IT leaders in a specific state.
Only with a brief. Send one person to a chosen event with three outcomes to bring back and a session to teach colleagues afterwards. For most skills, structured courses and on-the-job projects build more capability per rupee than a group trip to a large event.
Every quarter, in January, April, July and October. Each review rechecks every event on the organiser website, adds newly announced dates and removes anything that has stopped running.
