What is a healthcare landing page?
A landing page is a focused web page where visitors arrive after clicking an ad, email or campaign link, built to drive one action such as booking a consultation. For hospitals in India it should match the ad’s specialty and location, show doctor credentials, offer call, WhatsApp and booking options, load fast on mobile, and follow NMC and ASCI norms.
Why it matters for hospitals
Sending ad traffic to a generic homepage makes patients hunt for what they clicked on, and many leave. A matching landing page usually lifts enquiry rates and gives cleaner measurement. It is also where compliance problems, such as unverifiable claims, most often appear.
How to put it into practice
- Match the headline and content to the ad and search query.
- Show the doctors, their qualifications, OPD timings and location clearly.
- Put click-to-call, WhatsApp and a short form above the fold on mobile.
- Avoid guaranteed outcomes, before-and-after claims and superlatives that breach advertising rules.
- Track every enquiry action and test changes one at a time.
The common mistake
Building one landing page for every specialty and campaign, so no page truly matches what patients searched for.
An illustrative example
A hospital moved its cataract ads from the ophthalmology department page to a dedicated page with surgeon profiles, clear steps and a WhatsApp option. Enquiry rate per click improved and fewer callers asked basic questions. (Composite example, not a specific hospital.)
