A citation is any mention of a practice's core details on a site you do not fully control.

For clinics in India, keeping those details consistent is harder than most global guides assume.

Most citation chaos starts with the clinic using three versions of its own name.

Write one master record, exactly as on the signage, and get it signed off.

Indian addresses were never designed for databases.

Landmark addresses like opposite the temple.

Locality and road names that change.

And several phone numbers used interchangeably.

An audit for one clinic takes a few hours.

Put the master record in the first row of a sheet.

Search each platform and record what it shows.

Then fix every mismatch and merge duplicates.

Duplicate listings, often created by old agencies or the platforms themselves, can send patients to the wrong door.

Claim, correct or remove them.
